Mckinney Newborn Photography | What to do with your images

After your session, it may be difficult to decide what to do with your images. As a photographer, I never want my work to live it’s entirety on a device. It brings me so much joy to see my images displayed in a client’s home as a new family heirloom.

But it can be overwhelming to figure out where to start, and because of this, many people never do anything with their images.

Here are a few ideas on how to use your images.

  1. Framed prints and wall art – is there a wall in your home that could use a little artwork? Whether it’s a show-stopping large print, or a wall gallery, this is one of my favorite ways to make sure your new images receive daily love.

2. Albums – Albums are a great way to showcase a variety of images. In my family, my kids love looking through our family albums. I try to create a yearly album every January, but I also love showcasing special seasons of life with dedicated matted albums.

3. Box of printed images – A box of your prints is a great way to hold on to your images, while still having a tangible way to enjoy them. I keep many boxes of prints and swap images in and out of smaller accent frames depending on what I’m connecting with at the moment. Instead of an old shoe box full of memories, there are now many beautiful ways to keep these images safe.

Catie Ann is a Dallas family and newborn photographer. She creates heirloom images for clients in DFW, and has a studio in Downtown Mckinney. If you’re looking for a wedding, maternity, newborn, or family photographer in Dallas, I’d love to host you in studio, on location, or capture your family in your home.
