How is it already November?! When I first met Robert and Melanie, it was at their engagement session in the middle of the summer. They were one of my most memorable couples because their connection was electric and they were so much fun (perhaps you remember the session that ended in a police car….yep, that was them!). I knew their wedding would be equally as fun, and it didn’t disappoint! I loved watching Melanie’s grandmother do the Cupid Shuffle, and the Best Man’s speech was one of the funniest I’ve ever witnessed!
One thing I really love about photographing weddings is getting to know the families and friends of the couple I’m working with. A wedding is such an intimate moment for a family, and I just love watching two families come together as one. Melanie’s parents were absolutely the sweetest couple, and the connection Robert has with his mother is one of the strongest I’ve seen. As a new mom of a little boy, that connection is #momgoals for me! There are so many great memories from Melanie and Robert’s day. I loved that Robert’s father officiated the ceremony and the journal entry Melanie wrote about her wedding day for Robert to read was one of the most touching pre-wedding gifts a bride could give her groom.
