THE VENUE GUIDE
Nestled on 18 acres, this show-stopping natural venue includes an epic white barn reception space, indoor/outdoor chapel overlooking a beautiful pond, a bridal cottage, groom's cottage, and stunning landscape.
Imagine limitless portrait locations, impeccable light, and an aesthetic that's second to none. The Grand Ivory is located in Leonard, Texas, just a short 30 minute drive north of Mckinney, Texas.
One of the things I love about The Grand Ivory is that it truly is a year-round facility. With a covered ceremony space that has removable windows, you'll never need to worry about a rain plan that alters the entire flow of your day.
It's the day of your wedding and sunlight is illuminating the gorgeous white interior of the grand ivory. outside, you can see the chapel filling with your family and friends...
THE PERFECT VENUE
With an all-white interior, sunlight floods in and keeps the whole aesthetic bright and airy. Because of the white interior, virtually any color palette and decor will be beautiful. Cocktail hour is typically held on the patio, but can be moved indoors in inclement weather.
Imagine an all-white chapel, with long white pews, overlooking a stunning pond as the backdrop for your ceremony. With removable windows, this chapel is truly amazing year-round.
Complete with makeup stations, impeccable lighting, lounge furniture, and an adorable outdoor porch swing, the bridal suite is the perfect space to gather with your girls as you prep for the best day ever! Separated from the main barn, this suite provides a little more privacy while the barn is being transformed into your reception dream!
Yes! The beauty of the chapel at The Grand Ivory is that it's covered! You can even add windows on in the winter or rainy seasons. It really is a year-round venue. In case of rain, we would likely try to do all portraits in the chapel area.
I recommend family photos at The Grand Ivory to be either in the chapel, or in front of the doors on the white barn. Both locations capture the beauty of the venue!
I would recommend about 30 minutes for bride and groom portraits at The Grand Ivory. Every photographer is different, but for my clients, I try to be as efficient as possible so they can get on to the reception!
This is tricky because the season matters. If you are not doing a first look, I recommend setting your ceremony time for about 2.5 hours before sunset. If you want to do a first look, 1.5 hours before sunset would be fine!
Absolutely! The Grand Ivory has two separated getting ready cottages. This gives you both your own space, and keeps you separated so he doesn't see you before you want him to!
They do! And they're awesome!!! I HIGHLY recommend a sparkler exit at The Grand Ivory. It photographs really well (better than most other types of exits), and guests have so much fun with the sparklers!
