I am so excited that you are interested in choosing me to document your family! As a mom of two, I understand the importance of capturing the little moments and phases of children. They change so quickly, and it's easy to forget about little nuances.
I strive to document families with a focus on connection - whether that's a sweet cuddle or a full-blown tickle fight. They are only little once, so let's make this time in their lives something everyone can look back on.

After photographing hundreds of portrait sessions over the past few years, I’ve found that I'm not the perfect fit for every family. That’s why this process begins with a conversation. I want to hear everything—funny things you do as a family, any nerves you have regarding photography, and what types of images you want to see in your gallery.
I’ll talk about the details of your session, answer any questions you might have about working with me and figure out if we’re the best fit for each other.
LET's CONNECT
Once your date is reserved, we'll connect to start chatting about possible locations for your session. We generally recommend choosing one location and if it's a place you haven't been before, it might be helpful to visit during the time our session will take place. That way you have an idea of the light, crowds, closing time, etc! If you're not sure about where you would like to take your photos but you have a general idea of the look you would like, just let us know because we would be happy to recommend a few locations based on your aesthetic!
I generally capture newborns in-home or in-studio, however all other types of sessions can also be on-location.
LOCATION
If picking out outfits for photos takes you back to your high school days when you literally tried on everything in your closet and piled it on your bed but still felt like you had nothing to wear, you're in luck.
I've put together an extensive outfit suggestion guide with tips for every member of the family, and as a CAP Client, you will have access to my curated Client Closet. This closet is filled with flattering dresses for sizes XS-XL.
waRDROBE STYLING
On the day of your session, I'll connect to make sure the weather still looks like it's going to corporate. We'll exchange numbers and finalize our meeting location. Please plan for your session to take about one - two hours from start to finish.
The SEssion
All images from our sessions are typically delivered within about two weeks of the shoot date via an online gallery. This gallery will allow you to share your favorites with family, order prints and even download images to share on social media.
Your gallery will remain active for six weeks.
DELIVERY
I am proud to offer my clients a variety of ways to turn their images into keepsakes. Wall-mounted canvas prints to decorate your home, beautiful handmade albums and more.
And I offer a lifetime guarantee on all my products so you never have to worry about the quality of your investments fading over time! What a special way to remember this season you’re in!

FIND INSPIRATION
With the growth of online shops, shopping for your littles is more fun than ever! I recommend choosing color families (neutrals, blues, etc) over perfectly matching outfits. If you're looking for some inspiration or some of my favorite shops for kids, check out the link to my Pinterest boards below!
For the Littles
When picking outfits I recommend keeping in mind the word “complement” rather than “match.” For example, if Dad is wearing a blue and pink pastel plaid shirt, Mom may want to choose a long, soft blue dress. It can also be a great idea to choose “color-families,” such as pastels or jewel tones.

WARDROBE STYLING
The sooner the better! My weekends tend to fill up pretty quickly - especially during the spring and fall, so the sooner you reach out to me, the more likely you are to get your desired date!
I book newborn sessions based on your due date. I only accept a few a month to ensure I have availability when your bundle arrives.
To reserve your date, I'll need a contract as well as a retainer. And if something comes up and you need to change your date, just let me know!
HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD WE BOOK?
Unless you've modeled professionally, you're probably going to feel awkward in front of the camera. Heck, I take photos for a living and I even feel like a deer in the headlights when I'm in front of the camera.
You're going to feel awkward at first, but as the session goes on and I coach you through images, I think you'll find that being photographed can actually be fun. And don't worry about your kids. I'm well versed in capturing even the busiest of little ones.
We're Awkward and my kids don't sit still.
No one wants to look like a wet dog in their photos so if it looks like it's going to rain, snow, hail or some other weather catastrophe, I'll be in touch via email or phone to reschedule.
Often, when I'm scheduling our initial portrait session date, if it works for our calendars, I'll actually set up both a main date and a rain date just to make sure we don't have to postpone your session for very long if the weather is bad on the original date.
WHAT IF IT RAINS?
Within a few weeks of your session, you'll receive a link to a digital gallery that will allow you to download high resolution images.
The gallery is also set up to make ordering prints, canvases and other keepsakes as easy as turning on a Roomba to clean your floors. No worrying about tricky things like color correction, DPI and image format.
