This past weekend, I had the joy of capturing Thuy and Jason’s wedding at Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church in Allen, with a reception following at the McKinney Performing Arts Center in Downtown Mckinney.
When I arrived to document the girls getting ready, I was welcomed so warmly by Thuy and her squad! They were so sweet, and really made me feel like I was part of the group! As I started gathering her bridal details, I was blown away by how STUNNING her dress was! It had this gorgeous champagne lace overlay that just completely took my breath away! And those shoes! Can we just take a moment to absorb just how fabulous those are?!?!
It’s no secret that I cry at every single wedding, and this one was no exception! I know that Thuy and Jason had been through some hard times leading up to the wedding day, so it really pulls at my heartstrings to see a couple come from dark times to completely joyous times.
I’ve been wanting to shoot a wedding at the McKinney Performing Arts Center for pretty much forever, so when Thuy mentioned she wanted her couples’ portraits taken downtown, I was SO excited! The reception space was so bright and classy, and I just loved all the sentimental touches. From the favors at each place setting, to the cake made by a friend, it truly was a labor of love and culmination of so many people near and dear to Thuy and Jason.
Thuy and Jason, thank you so much for allowing me in to your special day! It was such an honor! I wish you both nothing but a lifetime of love and laughter! Congratulations!!!
